Reliable cold storage is essential for many food-based businesses in the central and west Texas areas. With regular maintenance and monitoring, we do our best to make sure your reach-in and walk-in coolers are always performing their best. However, unexpected equipment failures are an unfortunate reality in all businesses and even with the best maintenance plan available, your cooler will eventually need a repair or replaced.

In a perfect world, our 24-hour repair service will get your cooler back up and running with no effect on your business hours or functions but we know you can’t always rely on the best-case scenario.
If your cooler needs a large repair or a replacement, that can mean both losing product and income until the repairs are made. It can also put your employees out of work temporarily if there are no immediate solutions.
Our new investment means greater peace of mind for our Central and West Texas customers
We recently added several mobile refrigerated trailers to our inventory in the hopes of helping our customers keep their doors open when dealing with unexpected cooler repairs and replacements. This was a big investment for us but we’re excited to be able to give our customers this emergency option.
These 5x10’ refrigerated trailers can be used anywhere we can plug in an extension cord. The interior temperature setting ranges from -4°F to +40°F to accommodate a variety of products and it will keep contents cold even in the summer Texas heat. Even when outdoor temps reach as high as 120°F, the contents of the trailer are guaranteed to stay safe and cool.
We chose refrigerated trailers from Leer because of their proven reliability and ease of use. These trailers are easy to set up, feature a large door for easier access and can hold two full pallets of product. The interior volume of the 5x10’ trailer is 285 cubic feet. For those of you that store ice, that’s roughly two hundred 20 lb bags.
While we hope you won’t need to use one, we wanted to let all our customers know about these new options we have available in case of emergency. If your walk-in goes out and needs extensive repairs or replacement, you don’t need to lose all your product. We’ve got you covered.
Non-emergency uses for our refrigerated trailers
The primary purpose of the new refrigerated trailers is for use in emergency situations to prevent our customers from experiencing unnecessary loss of product, but they have some other great uses too!
Planned renovations can make things difficult if your walk-in or reach-in cooler is affected. With access to a reliable, temperature-controlled trailer, you don’t have to rush through renovations to keep your product safe.
Outdoor events like birthday parties, game days and even weddings can benefit from a large, cooled space to keep perishables. While most of our customers will use these trailers for food and ice storage, refrigerated trailers can be used for anything that would be negatively affected by the heat outdoors, including things like fruit and flower arrangements.
Transport of refrigerated items from one location to another can be difficult without access to a mobile storage space. If you need to move a large amount of product from one shop to another, feel free to give us a shout. We’d be happy to help!
We’re excited to share this option with all of you and hope to help keep you cool this summer!
